Professor Jan Scott is Emeritus Professor of Psychological Medicine at the University of Newcastle, UK, with visiting roles in Sydney, Paris, and Norway. An Honorary Professor at the Centre for Affective Disorders in London and Distinguished Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, she is ranked among the top female bipolar disorder researchers globally. Professor Scott’s research focuses on combined treatments for bipolar disorders and psychoses, developmental trajectories of mood disorders, and clinical staging models. She participates in multiple European research networks and is a grant holder for major international projects, including the H2020-funded RLiNK study and Wellcome Trust collaborations.
