Melbourne researchers are working on developing a new early warning system to help those with bipolar disorder avoid a manic episode. More than 500,000 Australians have been diagnosed with the chronic mental health condition and it's hard to predict the changes in mood before they happen. Those with bipolar disorder say if scientists succeed, it will be a gamechanger in helping them manage the condition
